I've got a couple of comments...first was it a surprise that every coach sang the praises of Big Ten TV? I think there was some "coaching" done by the conference prior to lunch in Chicago.

And how sincere do you think the coaches were by picking Michigan as the favorite? Is it because every year it is suppose to be the Wolverines or Buckeyes? How about Wisconsin who WON a bowl game and have 16 returning starters and a highly regarded defense?

More on predictions coming soon. For now check out the quotes by the coaches and conference officials .

I think the concern over UW is the X-factor at some key skill positions. QB Donovan looked decent in a few starts last year, but is still unproven. Will the receivers be the impressive group that came together at the end of last year, or the keystone cops that they appeared to be for much of last season? The loss of Joe Thomas from the Offensive line will undoubtedly hurt and the running game needs to rack up meaningful yards instead of padding stats against crap teams.

The Wolverines are favored because Bucky looked so horrific against them last year. But the Badgers were so vastly improved in November, I think they would have beaten OSU or UofM by end of year.

In spite of all the concerns, I would go with the Badgers.
